Our method of work o The main thrust of our work is to train the mentally retarded in their own houses. Instead of removing them from their homes, they are trained at homes initially involving their parents as well as kith and kin.

o The next step is the community based rehabilitation when two or more mentally retarded persons of the neighborhood are gathered in one place. It gives them the opportunity to see the outside world and help them to have interaction with people other than their family. o The final step in this method is the school based rehabilitation when they are brought to a school where they get more chances to interact with the outside world.
